Henry Doorly Zoo & Happy Birthdays!

We went to a new zoo! Sunday morning we woke up kinda early. Well, not really early...but we had to get ready on a Sunday morning and we don't usually have to do that. Then we drove to Omaha to the Henry Doorly Zoo! Daddy's birthday and Pop Pop's birthday and Aunt Katie's birthday are all in July, so we get together one time to celebrate. Going to the zoo was an awesome way to do that!

First we saw a jaguar!

Then we saw Grandma Sue has her own carousel!

We got to touch sting rays! And it was REALLY funny when they splashed us. 

Then Emma and I got to ride a camel!

There was a lot of walking at the zoo. It was good to be able to take a break and get pushed in the stroller.

We passed a prairie dog town--they were everywhere! And they let us get really close to them.

Then we met a silly lemur.

Snack breaks are also very important.

Daddy was trying to get Damien and Hadley to sleep by pushing them around a lot...but they stayed awake.

I was tired. I didn't take a morning nap like I usually do. And then I just couldn't seem to fall asleep in the stroller, even though I was really tired. There was just so much to see and hear, I couldn't close my eyes. Until Mommy fed me...that did the trick. I finally got in a bit of a nap while the others checked out the swamp.

After awhile, we went back to Grandma Sue's carousel and took a spin.

Then we took the train! Mommy tried to use her arms to take a picture of all of us. It kind of worked.

Our final ride was taking the sky train. It was so cool!

Then it was time to leave. Damien and I didn't make it too long in the car.

Happy Birthday Lennon!

Today we went to celebrate our friend Lennon's 2nd birthday! 

She had a bounce house and it was awesome!!!

Daddy was the first to see me make my new moves tonight. I haven't stopped since!

Keepin' cool

It was hot day, so we cooled off after nap by splashing in the pool. 

You might have noticed that there is a scrape on my forehead. It's actually a scrape and a bump. I fell last night and hit my head on a cement wall. It hurt really bad. I'm pretty tough though. 

I've been dancing the day away today!

So, my Mommy thinks she's pretty good at getting me to pose. Um, no. People, this is what it's really like when she tries to take my monthly picture.

little farmers!

We went on a road trip! We drove to see Lucas and his farm for the weekend. 

We left after breakfast and headed to Franklin, NE. 

I napped most of the way there.

I brought books to read for the drive.

As we were driving, we saw this cool yellow plane flying over some farm land.

Once we got there, Daddy and I went with Lucas to help harvest wheat.

I also found a toad!

I hung back with Mommy at Lucas' house.

I was really excited about eating this banana.

We met new puppies. I liked giving lots of kisses to Oxli.

Cows! We got to go to the fields to feed the cows.

 Then we went to see some pigs and Lucas' horse.

Just hanging out in the truck bed with the pups and a cow sorting stick.

Lucas showed me how to brush Ivy.

And then Lucas took us to get some delicious frozen milk after we at dinner at a restaurant.

It was a great trip and we can't wait to go back!

Happy 4th!

I am not a fan of fireworks. They are too loud, so I wear headphones. Damien doesn't seem to mind the loud booms.
